Forming great partnerships is essential for business success. No business partnership, however, will impact the success of an entrepreneur more than the personal relationships with their life partner and family. Over dinner at their award winning restaurant, Larry and Caryl Abdo will lead a discussion on the challenges and rewards of living with an entrepreneur. Students and their partners will have the opportunity to ask blunt questions and contribute to the discussion.
We invite Carlson MBA students and recent grads with a strong interest in entrepreneurship to join us for a spirited discussion on how they and their partners can get the most out of their shared entrepreneurial journey. Attendance is strictly limited to 8 couples – please RSVP if you have questions contact John Stavig at jstavig@umn.edu.
Reception and networking 6:30 pm
Dinner and conversation 7:00 pm

About the Abdo Dinner Conversation Series
Caryl and Larry Abdo sought to give back to their University in a unique manner that would directly benefit students pursuing an entrepreneurial career. Through informal discussions with peers at the dinner table of their historic Nicollet Island Inn, the Abdos have shared their advice and perspectives with over 200 Carlson School entrepreneurship students. These dinners are structured to generate lively discussion on a range of topics relevant to current students. The intimate environment of the Fireside Room makes for a fun evening where relationships develop and advice is freely shared (and sometimes discarded). The Abdos were recognized as the 2019 University of MInnesota Entrepreneurs of the Year as serial entrepreneurs involved with numerous real estate, restaurant, hospitality and marketing businesses.
